Experience
I have been working as a school psychologist in Los Angeles for about 10 years and have broader experience in education and behavior for going on 15 years. I have a wide range of experience working with children and adolescents from ages 4 to 18 with neurodiversity including Autism, ADHD, Anxiety disorders, Depression, Emotional Disturbance, Intellectual Disability, Specific Learning Disability, and other general presentations of social emotional, behavioral, and academic profiles.
I have conducted psycho-educational assessments, used trauma informed practices in counseling and social emotional support, and provided consultation and collaboration services to students and parents in understanding neurodivergence, special education services, and mental health.
Prior to being a school psychologist, my background was in applied behavioral analysis providing direct behavior intervention and services to children and adolescents with Autism in the school and home setting. I also had experience working in a domestic violence and sexual abuse transitional shelter providing case management, counseling, and child care to children and mothers.
My experience gives me a wide lens in understanding and working with diverse students and families. It is my goal to help families and students better understand their uniqueness in learning, have tools to address challenges, and improve their functioning in life and school.
