Why are psycho-educational assessments needed?

Psycho-educational assessments provide you or your child with an in-depth look at learning and social emotional strengths and areas of improvement. This is helpful for understanding yourself or your child’s presentation in the school or work environment, in daily functioning, and in interpersonal relationships so that targeted interventions and strategies can be developed and implemented to meet personal goals and feel successful. 

Where do testing or counseling/coaching/consultation sessions take place?

Counseling, coaching, and/or consultation sessions can be done via zoom or in person at my office in Los Angeles. Testing sessions can be done in person only at my office in Los Angeles or at your home if you have an available quiet and private space. 

Why do I need educational consultation?

Having a professional who can help answer questions and help you and your family navigate the educational system will allow you to have the best support for your child. If you have questions about your child’s individualized education plan (IEP), want to know what next steps are after assessment, need recommendations on what school based services to advocate for, or have other general questions about yours or your child’s unique learning style and needs, we can take time to have an in depth conversation to help you with what you need.
